Job Opportunity

Our Client is seeking a Cyber Security Advisor – Analyst to support their Cyber Security team to reduce organizational risk through the implementation and management of Cyber security technologies, developing new or improve existing processes and acclimatizing people to using technology in a safe and prudent manner. The role will work with multiple business units and Information Technology stakeholders to: evaluate and document current and emerging threats and risks in the environment and the cyber landscape, assess business/stakeholder requirements for new products and services that have security implications, and recommend opportunities for delivery of technology solutions and process improvements. In addition, this role shall also provide support to create artifacts on assessment, planning & design, as well as facets of delivery, including execution planning and technical configurations. The candidate must be an excellent communicator who can break down complex concepts into simple consumable organized sets of information and familiar with Change management and its related activities to ensure IT services continue to operate while providing support in updating and maintaining patches to security systems.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills
  • Post-secondary education in cyber security or IT related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent).
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a cyber security or networking role.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle strict deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to exhibit effective workplace communication skill is essential.
  • Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.
Nice To Have Skills
  • Certification in one of the following programs would be asset:
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC);
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP);
    • Certified Information Security Management (CISM) Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Security+.
