Description

Our Client is seeking a Systems Analyst to support various projects. The resource will be responsible for supporting technical upgrades and migrations to new server hardware for various applications and application components, both commercial off-the-shelf and in house-built applications.  The candidate should be a fast learner with an aptitude for understanding and maintaining complex systems.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

  • Completion of a 4-year Computer Science or Engineering degree, or a 2-year Computer Engineering/System Technology diploma.

  • Broad knowledge of computer systems technology and design techniques.
Nice To Have Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in application support or development.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with databases

  • 3+ years of experience supporting/developing SQL Server based applications, Oracle Database applications, Windows Server, and Linux Red Hat.

  • Experience with large, complex and mission critical applications.

  • Experience with network troubleshooting and utilizing troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Fiddler, Netcat).

  • Experience in multiple programming languages including Java or .Net (e.g. C#) languages.

  • Experience with multiple toolsets for deployment, source control, and batch programming.

  • Strong communication skills.

Location Edmonton/Hybrid
Work Environment 12 months with possibility of extension
Hourly Rate Negotiable
