Our client is seeking an Financial Analyst to apply their accounting skills to full cycle accounting and financial reporting, including developing and executing month end processes, financial analysis, dashboards and external/internal reporting.
This is a Hybrid position in Edmonton, Alberta - 3 days on site and 2 days remote. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply. |

| Experience Required/Mandatory Skills |
Experience using accounting principles and Canadian public sector accounting standards or equivalent - 5 years CPA designation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact and collaborate professionally with a diverse group. Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization, including executive level. Experience with research, analysis and problem solving. High customer service skills and ethics. Experience with and knowledge of financial reporting ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements, and using Microsoft Excel. Relevant work experience and experience with Microsoft Office. The ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Experience with public sector accounting - 5 Years Experience in the Government of Alberta environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity. Nice to have - Experience with the Government of Alberta financial system (1GX)
