Our Government client is looking for a Project Manager for a one year, remote contract.

Responsible for the coordination and completion of strategic IT projects related to eHealth modernization within the Consumer eHealth unit which is primarily responsible for implementation of Albertan facing services including the MyHealth Records program.

Oversees all aspects of project management including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and reporting on project progress. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, other departments including Provincial Health Agencies and external stakeholders involved in projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.

Work must be done within Canada, during regular business hours. While this resource will primarily work remotely, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice. At the time of providing such notice, the Client will advise of the expected duration of any such meetings or work sessions. However, time to travel and any associated expenses to and from Edmonton and/or travel within Alberta will be at no cost to the Client.

• Bachelor degree, diploma or certificate in IT, Computer Science or related field of study.

• Experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures. (5+ years)

• Experience successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations. (5+ years)

• Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent.

• Demonstrated experience working in the health industry and knowledge of business practices, information, data and technology requirements. (3+ years)

• Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation or support of solutions aimed at citizen engagement or citizen access to their personal health information. (3+ years)

• Experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level. (3+ years)

• Experience developing change management deliverables including Change Strategy and Plans, Training Strategy and Plans, Stakeholder Impact Assessments, Communication Strategy and Plans. (3+ years)
