Description |
Our Client is seeking up to ten (10) Digital Architects to work n service innovation, program review and digital transformation projects. The Digital Architect(s) will work as part of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams. Digital transformation projects review the current state of services, identify future opportunities, and then deliver new services that are efficient, effective and affordable. A Digital Architect provides architectural expertise and strategic guidance and is responsible for overseeing the software architecture of digital services, the alignment of services to a common architecture vision, and the iterative delivery of solutions to create a complete digital service. The Digital Architect(s) will guide the team in the rapid, iterative delivery of user-centric services with solution designs that align to the overall architectural vision and are in support of technical standards, coding standards, common tools and platforms. The Digital Architect(s) will also guide the product owner and team in balancing the allocation of team capacity between user stories and technical tasks. The Digital Architect(s) may perform some development work if needed. Therefore, a Digital Architect must have a strong technical understanding of current and emerging technologies, balanced with strong business acumen and project leadership skills. While this role is remote, candidates must be Canadian Citizens and perform all work within Canada. |

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills |
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study equivalencies will be considered Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads. (5+ years) Experience as a software architect, leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale solutions using modern development stacks in complex organizational environments. (5+ years) Experience working with teams that also apply UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approaches. (2+ years) Proven ability to define and communicate solution architecture for large-scale systems, including integrations, modernization strategies, and cloud-native design patterns. (4+ years) Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making. (5+ years)

Experience applying secure development practices and managing identity and access using role-based or attribute-based access control and Zero Trust Architecture principle. (4+ years) Experience designing and implementing modern web applications, including responsive, accessible front-end development using modern UI frameworks. (5+ years) Experience designing and managing APIs, including RESTful services and system integrations. (4+ years) Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, deployment, and observability. (2+ years) Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases. (5+ years) Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices for cloud or hybrid environments. (2+ years) Experience with distributed systems design, including event-driven architecture, microservices, and domain-driven design. (4+ years) Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and performance optimization. (5+ years) Experience working within public sector digital service frameworks or enterprise architecture standards. (2+ years) Experience working with other architects and/or as part of cross-functional teams to identify efficiencies through common services, reusable components and application programming interfaces (APIs), and contribute to the overall architecture practice designing and implementing application programming interfaces (APIs) and system integrations.
