Our client runs a capital program each year to implement application and infrastructure changes in support of the business. In relation to these initiatives and some operational requirements, we require a Senior Infrastructure Architect/Implementer to assist with our cloud related projects.

The role will be a hybrid position with a 2 day/week on site requirement. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times.

• Multi-cloud proficiency: Proven ability to design and implement solutions in Azure, and familiarity with AWS environments.

• Cloud services: Understanding of compute, storage, networking, and database services across platforms.

• Solution architecture: Ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

• High availability & disaster recovery: Designing systems that ensure uptime and data protection.

• Cloud security best practices: Identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and zero-trust models.

• Networking fundamentals: VPCs, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls.

• 2-year post-secondary diploma or a 4-year post-secondary degree in IT or Computing Science related field.

• 7 - 10 years of related experience in IT infrastructure.

• Skills and experience as a solution/system architect, working on or supporting infrastructure projects, familiarity with similar Subject Matter Expert support.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to understand and communicate key concepts.

• Understanding of IT business continuity, security, and other risk assessment and optimization methodologies.
