Description

Our Client is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP S/4HANA solutions across Finance, Sales, and Logistics domains. This role delivers high-quality ABAP enhancements, integrations, and technical solutions that enable accurate, compliant, and performant business transactions.

Working closely with business partners, functional consultants, and solution architects, the developer translates requirements into scalable technical designs aligned with S/4HANA best practices and clean-core principles. The role supports implementations, upgrades, conversions, and ongoing production operations, while modernizing legacy developments for S/4HANA.

This position requires strong ABAP expertise combined with proven techno-functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FI, SD, and related logistics processes.

Vancouver-based candidates only. On site 4 days per week. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

  • Extensive SAP ABAP experience in S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or conversions

  • Expertise in OO-ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, OData, Enhancements (BAdIs/User Exits), and Adobe/SmartForms

  • Strong techno-functional knowledge of SAP FI, SD, and core logistics processes

  • Experience with integrations (IDocs, RFCs, APIs, web services)

  • Understanding of S/4HANA architecture, data models, and simplification items

  • Proven performance tuning and debugging experience in HANA environments

  • Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills

  • Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 from a backend enablement perspective

  • Exposure to SAP BTP, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), or SAP Cloud integrations

  • Knowledge of SAP security concepts, role design impacts, and authorization objects related to custom development

  • Experience working within SAP Activate or Agile delivery methodologies

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD alignment in SAP landscapes

  • Experience in regulated industries with strong audit and compliance required
