Our Client is seeking a Project Manager capable of managing a variety of medium to large IT application projects which may include custom applications, COTS, mobile applications or new software applications.

The successful candidate will oversee the end to end daily management and delivery of one or more projects; monitor, report and control the assigned projects; engage all IT, vendor and business stakeholders and successfully deliver the assigned projects.

This role is hybrid (typically 2 days onsite in Edmonton per week).

Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times.

• Minimum 7 years of project management experience

• Successful direct management of IT projects ranging from $250,000 to $5,000,000, with at least 2-3 projects above $2 million dollars range

• Proven ability to manage project financials and develop regular forecasts within a defined budget

• Proven ability to deliver clear and concise project documentation

• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing

• Proven ability to work within standard procedures and methodologies

• Ability to demonstrate high level functional and/or technical understanding of the scope of their projects

• Ability to provide input into procedure and methodology improvement

• Ability to forecast resource effort effectively

• Proven success at managing and controlling the scope of projects through effective change control and scope management processes

• Ability to pick up projects mid-stream and deliver the projects to successful completion

• Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies

• PMI or PMP Certification is an asset

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst is an asset  

• Previous experience managing projects containing significant Business Process re-engineering and Change Management is an asset
