Required Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in Business, IT, or a related field; Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from the International Institute of Business Analysis preferred
  • Proven experience planning and conducting requirements workshops with operational, clinical staff, leadership, and stakeholder groups
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications within an enterprise IT environment
  • Experience gathering requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, process modeling, and scenarios
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT solutions
  • Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes in multi-stakeholder settings
Nice to Have Skills:

  • Stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination, including technical leadership roles
  • Change impact analysis and management of complex IT systems, particularly with multiple data sources and legacy solutions
  • Experience working with health information systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Alberta Netcare, EMRs used by community physicians
  • Knowledge of system integration, data exchange, and interoperability especially in the Canadian health context
  • Prior involvement in provincial health initiatives or health system modernization projects
Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, IT, Health Informatics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis within healthcare or enterprise IT environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of Canadian health legislations and data governance including HIA or similar frameworks
Other Requirements:

  • Residency in Canada with the ability to work remotely within the country; all data must remain within Canadian borders
  • Availability for approximately 8 hours per day, including participation in virtual meetings during business hours
  • Equipment will be provided by the client
