What you’ll bring to the table:
- Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent) certification.
- Proven experience coaching teams on Agile methodologies, facilitating ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and experience working within an agile development environment.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and leadership skills that inspire teams and foster a culture of collaboration.
Nice to have skills that give you an edge:
- Experience delivering training sessions via web-based platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of AI tools supporting Scrum Master activities—like backlog analysis, meeting facilitation, and documentation—or experience coaching teams on AI responsibly enhancing their workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Background in software development processes, human-centered design, UX, or service design.
- Experience working within the public sector or on government projects, particularly in digital service delivery.
Preferred education and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 8+ years of hands-on Agile and Scrum experience.
- Prior experience leading multiple projects simultaneously, ideally across cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional requirements:
- Ability to work remotely from within Canada.
- Access to personal equipment (laptop/desktop), though the Province can provide hardware if necessary.
- Capacity to attend occasional in-person meetings in Edmonton or other Alberta locations on reasonable notice—travel expenses will be covered by the Client.
- Willingness to work full-time, with flexibility in hours based on project needs.
