What You Need to Shine:
- Proven experience defining technical architecture across multiple domains including data, application, security, and privacy.
- Extensive knowledge of data platform design, data integration, and delivery for large, complex projects.
- Strong client engagement skills, with the ability to explain intricate data concepts clearly and thoughtfully.
- Expertise in modern data architectures such as Data Fabric and Data Mesh.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, Snowflake, or comparable solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Gartner, or Zachman.
- Deep understanding of data quality frameworks, metadata standards, and enterprise data models.
- Experience supporting data security, privacy controls, and responsible AI principles.
Nice to Have Superpowers:
- Hands-on work with cloud-based data solutions including data science, AI/ML pipelines, and MLOps.
- Business requirements analysis, end-to-end data product delivery, and solution architecture experience in cloud ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Big Data platforms like Cloudera Data Platform.
- Skills in developing and delivering training on data governance, AI standards, and platform adoption.
- Experience working in public sector environments, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and leading stakeholder workshops.
Ideal Background & Experience:
- A university degree in business, management, or related discipline with at least 6 years of Data Architecture experience; or
- A 2-year diploma with 8+ years of experience; or
- A 1-year certificate with 9+ years; or
- A decade of dedicated Data Architecture expertise.
- Proven track record in designing enterprise data solutions in complex, federated data ecosystems.
Other Must-Haves:
- Own equipment suitable for remote work.
- Based in Canada to meet security and network requirements.
- Ability to attend occasional virtual meetings—onsite presence is optional and not compensated.
