Required Skills:
  • Proven experience developing integrated project plans, portfolio oversight, and executive-level communication of project progress
  • Strong background supporting clients in executing strategies with technology, organizational design, processes, and IT operations
  • Demonstrated project management expertise across a variety of initiatives including strategic, business improvement, and IT projects
  • Experience developing project documents that comply with legislative, legal, and audit standards, particularly for content management systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with external users and internal teams, co-ordinating and communicating effectively
  • Familiarity with various software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to lead project governance, change management, and communication activities
  • Senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals, roadmaps, business cases, and governance frameworks
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with data integration between clinical applications
  • Background as a Change Manager on large complex software development projects
  • Knowledge of complex IT systems, web services, and legacy infrastructure management
  • Ability to analyze complex business questions and develop targeted solutions
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; a master’s degree is an asset
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT project management within government, public sector, or enterprise environments
  • Proven success supporting multiple concurrent initiatives, especially in case management or digital service delivery
Other Requirements:
  • Residency in Alberta is mandatory for the duration of the contract
  • Onsite work required with occasional remote work subject to reasonable notice; all data must remain within Canada when remote
  • Ability to work standard business hours, with flexible availability for project milestones and stakeholder meetings
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive risk management are essential
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant Agile certifications are advantageous
