Description Business Analyst – Transform Data Into Impact and Drive Regulatory Success

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • Proven hands-on experience translating complex business requirements into robust analytical solutions.
  • Expertise in communicating findings effectively to technical teams and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools such as Excel PowerPivot, Cognos Cubes, and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align solutions with product visions and user needs.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms like Azure and Snowflake, including data management, visualization, and advanced analytics.
  • Ability to develop detailed business requirements documentation.
  • Skills in building analytical models and quantitative analysis.
  • Comfort facilitating meetings and engaging with senior management and stakeholders.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • A background in business analysis, data management, or related fields.
  • Several years of experience supporting regulatory or compliance functions with data-driven solutions.
  • Prior experience working in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility to attend occasional in-office meetings in Edmonton.
Other Requirements:
  • This is a hybrid role with standard operating hours from 8:15 to 4:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional travel to Edmonton or within Alberta may be required.
  • The role involves working closely with regulatory teams and senior leadership to develop dashboards, reports, and trackers aligned with a Regulatory Assurance Framework.
