Description Senior Project Manager – Data & Architecture

Our client, a prominent financial institution in Alberta, is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Project Manager to steer a high-stakes Data & Architecture initiative. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major enterprise Data and Architecture project
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, data, infrastructure, security, and application delivery
  • Facilitate governance meetings and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and facilitate alignment across multiple business units
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies to keep the project on track
  • Partner closely with enterprise architects, technical leads, and business sponsors
  • Ensure project governance, documentation, and reporting standards are maintained at the highest level
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise IT projects, with a focus on Data and Architecture initiatives
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms, governance, and architecture principles
  • Proven success managing multiple technical workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong influence and engagement skills with senior executives and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership capabilities
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments
  • Strong financial, risk, and project governance management expertise
  • Experience within financial services, banking, or credit unions (nice to have)
  • PMP certification (strongly preferred) (nice to have)
  • Experience partnering with Enterprise Architecture teams (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with cloud transformation, data modernization, or enterprise technology programs (nice to have)
