Job Opportunity
Description A transformative opportunity awaits a talented Senior Financial Analyst ready to take on complex challenges with impact. As a vital force behind financial insights and compliance, you’ll help shape sound fiscal decisions in a high-stakes public-sector setting. Responsibilities:

  • Execute detailed account reconciliations and sophisticated financial analyses
  • Contribute to seamless monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
  • Draft journal entries and validate transaction accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies within financial systems and reporting
  • Manage accounts receivable, revenue & payroll data, and inter-unit transfers
  • Prepare for audits with comprehensive documentation and reconciliations
  • Identify vulnerabilities and process gaps, championing streamlined solutions
  • Develop, implement, and refine financial procedures and tools
  • Advise stakeholders on accounting standards, legislation, and best practices
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial systems and operational workflows
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with data analysis, complex datasets, and advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting mechanisms
  • Skilled in using SharePoint online for shared workspaces
  • CPA designation essential
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience with ERP systems (SAP), financial audits, controls, and governance; budgeting and internal control management
