Our Client is seeking a Communication Specialist / Senior Writer to work collaboratively to provide professional writing, editing,
and activities related to the on-going development of client communications and
materials that support programs and services. Ability to publish content to websites using a
variety of digital tools, software, and platforms is required.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-year Diploma in digital media, journalism,
marketing or advertising, or related field. Equivalencies such as a one-year
accelerated diploma program coupled with four years relevant experience will be
considered. Minimum of five years’ experience writing for web, digital media,
and marketing programs and strategies. (5+ years)
- Advanced writing and editing skills with proven ability to
create original stories and content for diverse formats and mediums: story
development, correspondence, briefing notes, traditional media, digital media,
training programs. Experience writing for web, digital media, and marketing
programs. Excellent editorial skills with a sound understanding of writing for
the web, engaging digital audiences and producing interactive content. (5+ years)
- Proven ability to manage tight timelines and multiple
requests, balancing both individual and team contributions that follow
best-practices. (8+ years)
- Advanced skills and ability using Microsoft Office Products
such as Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Proficient with a content management systems.
- Knowledge of Canadian Press style. (8+ years) - Understands graphic layout & design and multimedia
production best practices to ensure the delivery of effective digital media communications
(i.e.: infographics, audio production, video production).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and can demonstrate ability to
work as part of a team. (5+ years)
- Proven ability to successfully work with multiple stakeholders/clients
that may have a difference of opinion.
Ensure channels for collaboration and communication-flow is open and
sustained. (5+ years)
- Experience working within a Government setting. (5+ years)
- Effective project development
